Help us build a movement

The Braver Angels 2023 National Convention was a milestone success for both Braver Angels and the civic renewal movement. On the 160th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, over 680 delegates came together on the hallowed grounds of the battlefield to disagree without hatred, recognize common ground where it exists, and have real debate.

Our 2024 National Convention, taking place in Kenosha, WI this June 27-29, will be a launching pad for better, more hopeful politics. We’re going to Kenosha to create hope – American Hope – and we need your help.

Partner with us to help bring together over a thousand people to inspire a nation.

This year, we’re offering individuals and organizations the opportunity to be a Partner for the Braver Angels 2024 National Convention. We have two ways to Partner:

  1. Supporting Partner – Recruit delegates from your network and promote the convention
  2. Financial Partner – Give a financial contribution

Organizations can become a Supporting Partner by committing to bring at least four delegates to the Convention. Each tier of supporting partnerships includes special benefits for your organization as a way of expressing our appreciation. For instance, supporting partners that recruit at least four delegates receive automatic application acceptance for those four delegates as well as an invitation to a special luncheon with Braver Angels senior leaders. Higher tiers include other benefits, like the opportunity to promote and network as an Exhibitor on our Convention App, Whova.

Individuals and organizations can become a Financial Partner by contributing financially to the Convention, starting at $5,000. Each tier of financial partnerships includes special benefits as a way of expressing our appreciation. For instance, organizations that give at least $5,000 receive 2 free delegate registrations and an invitation to that special luncheon with senior Braver Angels leaders.

You can visit our Convention Partnership page for more information about becoming a Partner. If you would like to express interest in becoming a partner, you can let us know here.

‘Braver Angels really helped me to see the humanity in people from the other side’: One high schooler’s journey to better political conversations

A native of Boulder, Colorado, Mia didn’t know many Trump supporters—and she was nervous to engage with them. “I was like, ‘Don’t they hate women? Don’t they hate black people?’” she said. “That was my initial belief because that’s what I had heard about people who voted for Trump.” But she quickly realized she was wrong. During the first Braver Lens session, Mia was able to connect with conservatives in the group and recognize their points of commonality. “When we met, they showed their pictures, and explained their life stories, and I was able to see where our values overlap,” she said.

How a Christian conservative found his way to Braver Angels

As a young man, Daniel’s father emerged from a broken, dysfunctional home looking for direction and found it while attending a Billy Graham crusade in Chicago. There, he “walked forward”—committing himself to Jesus Christ and changing the trajectory of his family. Not long after, he married Daniel’s mom, a Christian convert whose grandparents sought refuge in America after escaping pogroms in Europe.

Announcing Braver Angels Advisory Council

Twenty-three leaders who disagree on many things said yes to the same thing this month. They agreed to stand together, publicly, behind the idea that Americans can hold fast to their convictions while staying genuinely curious about the convictions of people on the other side. That’s it. That’s the commitment. For more than nine years, Braver Angels has reached people in every state in the union. The ones who’ve engaged have experienced something that surprises them every time: the relief of disagreeing without contempt, and the discovery that the person across the table is not who the feed said they were.
