The work of bringing Americans together to strengthen our democratic republic is a civic task that must be carried out by patriotic citizens freely giving their time and talent. Paid personnel can assist that activity, but they can’t be that activity. We can’t consult, invest, or buy our way to a more unified nation.
Our members must be willing to get involved.
Across the country, thousands of volunteers have answered this calling and are bringing our mission to their local communities. This, we believe, is the only way we will heal our nation: brick-by-brick from the bottom up.

Our Movement is Stronger When We Take Action
Igniting a Civic Renewal Movement
As of 2023, Braver Angels hosted over 3,200 events, including workshops, debates, 1:1 conversations, town halls and online discussions.
In response to the massive effort carried out mostly by volunteers, our membership has grown to over 12,200 members as of 2023.
