Political polarization is affecting us all — it is weakening our country, our communities, and our relationships — but we can change that. Braver Angels is the largest cross-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the divide. When conservatives, liberals, and independents come together to explain their views and values, we find out there is much more that unites us than divides us.

News, social media, and politicians tell us that every American is far right or far left with no common ground. Braver Angels is proving that’s not true. We can talk about politics in a civil way, and respectfully listen to others.

Political polarization may be the most important issue of our time — if we cannot overcome our fear, anger, and division, we will not be able to solve the many other problems our nation faces.

Braver Angels does not try to change anyone’s mind on political issues — but it is changing how we see each other. There is hope. We’re here to share it.
