Bridging Beliefs: A Commonground Workshop on Unity, Faith, and Politics – Online

09/16/2023 @ 5:00 pm EDT

Host Organization: Snohomish County Alliance
Partner Org(s): League
State/Region: WA

Join us for an extraordinary gathering where we will explore the rich tapestry of our diverse community and seek unity at the intersection of religion and politics. This workshop aims to uncover common ground in an age of division and radicalization.

About the Workshop:

This workshop provides a platform for open dialogue on the role of religion in politics and the consequences of its politicization. Together, we will address:

  • The personal impacts of this intertwined relationship on our lives.
  • Changes we desire to foster respect and harmony in religious organizations.
  • Ways to bridge political divides through common ground in faith.

With insights from community leaders, and participants like you, we’ll embark on a journey toward a more compassionate, tolerant, and unified community.

Mission Statement for the Braver Angels of Color Caucus

The Braver Angels of Color Caucus is committed to fostering unity and championing individuals’ voices, rights, and needs from diverse ethnicities. Our mission is to promote robust representation, empowerment, and advocacy for all ethnic communities and raise awareness about their unique experiences, perspectives, and challenges.

We promote policies and initiatives that advance social justice, economic equity, and opportunities for all ethnicities. We harness our collective strength to drive change, ensure that concerns of all ethnicities are integrated into decision-making processes, and create an inclusive future where every voice is valued and respected.

We believe in the power of mentorship, leadership development, and positive direct action to build bridges, heal divides, and foster civic renewal. We commit to creating a society where every ethnicity is celebrated, every voice makes a difference, and we are stronger as Braver Angels.
