A high-minded vision! I’ve been a leader of Braver Angels for going on four years now. But I wouldn’t be on the front lines of this movement to unite the American people in goodwill if it wasn’t for my long time friend and associate, writer, historian and Braver Angels staffer Luke Phillips. The more I was able to productively disagree with people, the more I realized that I didn’t need them to agree with me in order for me to be okay. I found strength and peace in myself that left me feeling more empowered, even when the world felt scary and out of control.
