Help Braver Partners
Braver Angels members, we need you!
Braver Partners is building a network of civil society organizations from across the political spectrum who support our mission of bringing Americans together to bridge the partisan divide. We know that the scale of the problem of polarization is such that one organization can’t turn the tide. But hundreds can.
- View this 5-minute video describing the motivation for Braver Partners and calling on Braver Angels members to volunteer.
- Read the Braver Partners website to know how we describe the initiative to the public so you’re more confident spreading the word about it.
- Share this very page with other members so they can help us grow the Braver Partners program too.
Which one of these cases applies to you?
A. Do you have a “lead” on an organization (either through your alliance or otherwise) that could be a good fit for the Braver Partners program? A lead would be an organization with whom we would need to share information about the Braver Partners program before their interest in partnering with us could be determined. If so, please do the following:
- Submit a New Lead Form to let us know.
B. Do you have an existing relationship with an organization that you want to tell about Braver Partners? If so, please do the following:
- Submit the Partner Rep Information Form so that we can record you as the de facto Partner Rep for this organization, being sure to list the organization when the forms asks this question: Is there a specific organization that you’re signing up as a Partner Rep to work with? The Braver Partners team also will follow up with you to provide additional support and resources.
- Read about being a Partner Rep in the next section, where you will also find a list of useful resources that you can share with this organization.
C. Do you have a relationship with an organization that has already expressed to you that they’re interested in partnering with us? If so, please do the following:
- Ask the organization to submit the Braver Partners Express Interest Form (rather than you completing the New Lead Form). Note: You can also submit the Express Interest Form for the organization if you are, or if you become (see below) the Partner Rep for this organization, and if the organization has asked you to express interest on their behalf).
If you don’t have an organization to suggest, but you’d like to be a Partner Rep, read on…

Partner Representatives are Braver Angels members who volunteer to manage relationships with one or more potential or current Partner Organizations—explaining to organizations the benefits of joining the Braver Partners network, answering questions, and coordinating efforts with the Braver Partners team. If you’re interested in volunteering as a Partner Rep, please do the following:
- View this 5-minute video describing the motivation for Braver Partners and calling on Braver Angels members to volunteer.
- Read the Braver Partners website to know how we describe the initiative to the public so you’re more confident talking about it.
- Read the Partner Rep Role Description (for Braver Angels Members).
Apply to be a Partner Rep.
- Submit the Partner Rep Information Form to let us know about your interest and how you’d like to perform the role. The Braver Partners team also will follow up with you to provide additional support and resources for engaging with organizations.
Engage with an organization.
Among the resources that the Braver Partners team will provide you for engaging with the organization that you have been assigned are the key links below. Note: Rather than sharing this page with organization, please copy and paste selected links into an email when sharing with an organization.
- Share key resources:
- Braver Partners: On the program web page, potential Partner Organizations can learn about the goals of the program, the benefits it holds for them, how they can become part of the Braver Partner network, and additional opportunities they can pursue once signed up, including a spot at our national convention (Gettysburg, PA, July 2023).
- Braver Partners Info Session (Eventbrite): This Info Session is for new and prospective Partner Organizations to learn more about the program, pose questions to the team, and meet one another.
- Braver Partners Monthly Workshop: Skills for Bridging the Divide (Eventbrite): This Skills for Bridging the Divide Workshop is intended for new and prospective Braver Partner Organizations.
- Braver Angels Workshops: On the Workshops web page, potential Partner Organizations can learn about both our Skills Training Workshops and our Experiential Workshops, which can be attended by any organization’s members.
If the organization is an educational or political institution, the following links might be appropriate to share as well (again, via cut and paste; not by sharing this page itself):
- Share optional resources:
- The College Debates and Discourse Program: Our signature program for colleges and universities is offered in partnership with the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).
- Braver School Communities: Our program for high school and middle school communities engages students, parents, teachers, administrators, and school board members in our bridge-building efforts through presentations, workshops, discussions, one-to-one conversations, debates, and more.
- Braver Politics: Our initiative fosters opportunities for elected officials, candidates, and their staffs to participate in Braver Angels programs with each other and with constituents, develop skills for communicating across difference, and build constructive relationships across partisan divides.
Once an organization has joined the Braver Partners Network, we can help them build capacity to depolarize their organizations and communities. We do this by providing opportunities for organizations to engage key members of their teams to participate in leadership trainings, including training in organizing and delivering presentations, workshops, and other bridge-building and depolarization activities.
Apart from seeking Braver Angels members to serve as Partner Reps (see above), the Braver Partners Team is also seeking volunteers with skills in other areas, such as team building, communications, marketing, technical writing, creating training materials and video tutorials, specifying requirements for software development, and/or data entry and data management.
