December 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EST
Restricted Attendance: Having read the book The Righteous Mind in advance will allow you to fully participate in this discussion.
In his book The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion, Jonathan Haidt (a member of the Braver Angels Board of Directors) discusses groups of moral emotions and how they influence political thought based upon degrees of adoption.
The SCIN Book Club meets online every other month for 90 minutes. As a preview, the next set of books we have in mind are: To Kill a Mockingbird (by Harper Lee, planned for Feb 19, 2025); Caste (by Isabel Wilkerson, Apr 16, 2025); and Bill of Obligations (by Richard Haas, June 18, 2025).
