Luke Goodrich is an attorney specializing in religious freedom. Writing from a Christian viewpoint Goodrich explains concerns that arise over the demise of Christendom and the subsequent changes in American culture that have resulted in the fear of some Christians that their beliefs will be marginalized as a form of bigotry. The book is organized into three parts: “What Is Religious Freedom,” “What Are the Most Serious Threats?” and “What Can Be Done?”
Goodrich suggests that Christians respond to religious freedom conflicts in an informed, responsible, and graceful way.
As a non-believer, I was initially put off by his undisguised use of Christian theology, but it’s really never overbearing. He examines religious freedom from all angles and shows how important it is to all of us, believers and non-believers.
