What if there were principles for politicians, principles that would help people make intelligent decisions about what candidates and policies to support? You might know the Better Angels Founding Convention of 2018 approved “An American Declaration”, a statement about why we exist and what we want to accomplish; but you almost certainly _don’t_ know that we also approved well-thought-out sets of specific principles for politicians and the media. We approved principles for other groups, too; the ones for citizens are the basis of our ground rules. In my opinion, the others aren’t very important, but well-thought-out principles for politicians and the media are _extremely_ important. But I’ve never seen any besides ours, and ours have been all but forgotten. I literally haven’t seen any mention of them anywhere since the convention, over two years ago now! They’re at

But our country not only needs principles like this, we need a way to encourage politicians and media to take them seriously! As a step in that direction, I made the BA principles into a survey form so you can rate the person/medium on each principle:
