What does WOKE mean to you and why is it a trigger word in America today? The word WOKE is has become a “lightning rod” word in American politics. It started as being “alert to racial prejudice and discrimination,” but what does it mean now? What do you believe it means? What do others in our community believe?
Join a Braver Angels In-Person Discussion about WOKE on Thursday April 27 at the Boise Main Public Library starting at 6:00 PM and going to 7:30 PM.
The meeting will open with speakers and an introduction to ground rules. We will follow the Braver Angels* way of talking that can be summed up by – bring your best self to the conversation. You will then get a chance to share your answer and listen to others’ answers to “What does WOKE mean to you and why is it a trigger word in America today?”
