Revolution’s Daughter: A Culture Fighting to Be Heard
November 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
A daughter of revolution. A life shaped by dissent, exile, and the struggle to be heard.
Join Braver Angels Houston for an online discussion of Revolution’s Daughter, following the October 28 screening and panel presentation at Rice University. The film centers on Alina Fernandez, Fidel Castro’s daughter, and opens onto broader questions of political dissent, exile, identity, free expression, family, and democracy.
Our November 4 Zoom event will focus on what participants learned from the film and the questions it raises. The purpose is not to debate the Cuban Revolution or contemporary partisan politics, but to explore the human and civic issues presented through the film in a thoughtful, cross-partisan conversation.
Those who cannot attend the Rice screening in person will be provided with an authorized online viewing link in advance so they can watch the film before joining the discussion.
Please note: the Rice screening and the Braver Angels Zoom discussion are two separate events with separate registrations. Registering for one does not register you for the other.
