National Panel Debate – Detroit Coliseum Debate and Social: Who Represents the Working Class? (Other)
May 18 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
Local Focus: Detroit, Michigan + National Audience
Who truly speaks for the working class? Is there hope that populism—of the right or the left—might truly serve this group that so often feels overlooked? What does this multifaceted group want, anyway?
Join us in person or via YouTube on Sunday May 18 at 2 pm EDT for a Coliseum Debate in which our four panelists will debate the possibility of political realignment and make the case for and against our resolution,
Resolved: The Republican Party is the party of the working class.
For details on speakers, please see the Eventbrite listing. We will update this as they confirm.
This debate will be held in-person at The Henry, a hotel in Dearborn, Michigan. We will be in the Gallery Room. Doors open at 1:30. If you’re local, we invite you to come and connect with our speakers, our National Debate Team, your local Braver Angels Alliance leaders and members, and others who care about working class politics and bridging political divides.
A light reception of drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be provided after the panel. Please RSVP as tickets are limited.
For those outside the Detroit area, this debate will be live-streamed via the Braver Angels YouTube channel. All participants are strongly encouraged to register in advance.
