Introducing The Central Indiana Braver Angels Alliance!

Local Focus: New Indiana Alliance for those in Central Indiana (Boone, Clinton, Montgomery, Tipton, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Putnam, Marion, Johnson, and Shelby counties).

Americans on opposite sides of the political spectrum don’t only disagree on issues — they increasingly dislike one another. This growing partisan animosity is the crisis of our time and threatens our nation. Braver Angels (BA) exists to address this challenge.

BA is a volunteer-driven national organization with a mission to “bring Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.” We envision an America with a respectful embrace of political disagreement, where civic friendship flourishes and competing perspectives strengthen our nation. We engage those we disagree with in search of common ground and strive to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we do not agree with it.

Local BA Alliances serve as a primary means of advancing the BA mission, giving members the opportunity to engage in their own communities using the Braver Angels Way. Local Alliances undertake in a broad range of activities depending on what works for their community, including skills-based workshops, experiential discussion-based workshops, debates, policy advocacy, group discussions, organized one-on-one interactions, and more.

With this, we are extremely pleased to announce the formation of The Central Indiana Braver Angels Alliance! This alliance covers Boone, Clinton, Montgomery, Tipton, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Putnam, Marion, Johnson, and Shelby counties. We invite you to join us for an in-person informational meeting on May 14th from 6-8pm at the Zionsville Townhall (location specifics will be provided with registration).
