How Citizens Can Bridge the Congressional Divide

03/22/2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm EDT

The House of Representatives was established in 1789 to serve citizens as their most directly representative government body. Today, many of us are feeling unrepresented. We are concerned that Congress has become paralyzed; an arena for partisan bickering rather than a forum where a diverse country negotiates the agreements which move us forward.

Republican Brian Fitzpatrick (PA) and Democrat Elaine Luria (VA), members of the House Problem Solvers’ Caucus will join Braver Angels and No Labels, to explain what causes political stalemate, and to let us know how we can apply people power to bringing about change.

Braver Angels unites red and blue Americans in a working alliance to depolarize the country. No Labels is a movement led by Americans who embrace the politics of problem solving and collaborate to find common sense solutions to our challenges. This collaboration is a product of an active and growing citizens’ movement which demands that government put the country before party politics. Join us and lend your voice to the democratic process.
