Film Discussion – Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of Free Speech

Shouting Fire is a 74-minute, 2009 HBO documentary that delves into the history and current state of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Detailing how the protection and exercise of free speech has changed and how global politics influences these trends, the film studies a number of free speech cases and presents a fascinating insight into of one of the cornerstones of U.S. democracy.
