Dinner and a Fight (Debate)
September 13 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm CDT
For those interested in bridging political (and conversational) divides in families, communities, and organizations, Braver Angels offers a proven approach. The organization teaches listening skills rooted in the family counseling practice of one of BA’s founders: listen with respect and curiosity; listen to learn and understand others’ perspectives; and be on the lookout for common ground—because it is almost always there! Embracing this common ground provides a clear path to more effective dialogue, creative problem-solving, and collaboration.
To share your perspectives, please join us at a special experience: Dinner and a “Fight” (a.k.a. debate). We will have a catered dinner ($25 per person) and the opportunity for open, interesting, and robust discussion on a controversial topic to be revealed at the event. An experienced Braver Angels volunteer will moderate the program.
And, as always, we’ll part as friends 🥰
When registering, please indicate if you prefer a vegetarian entre. Cash bar will be available.
We will meet at a Glenview home of a Braver Angels volunteer.
