Democracy and Respecting Others: Debate and Common Ground
November 8 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
Why do we value democracy? What keeps our republic together? Hear about answers from some key American thinkers in the constitutional and pragmatist traditions to clarify why listening to others isn’t just good for them – it’s good for us.
Dr. Eric B. Litwack is a philosopher and ethicist at the University of Sheffield and at Syracuse University London. His current research interests include democratic theory and totalitarianism, as well as technology. He is also a psychotherapist.
