We have spent the last few sessions on the emotional aspects of listening and being heard. We have felt our emotions rise at certain phrases and statements.
It is now time to talk about talking. Do we want to connect with the person we are speaking with? Do we understand the information bubble we live in and the bias of that bubble? Do we think about our speech as telling someone who we are? Are we only repeating slogans and clichés? Maybe we are using those same kind of phrases and statements that raised high emotion in us as we speak with others. This will be the second session on SPEAKING TO BE UNDERSTOOD!
