Brunch and a Fight

03/12/2023 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm PDT

$36.00
Host Organization: Braver Angels SoCal/Los Angeles
Partner Org(s): Fighting to Understand
State/Region: CA

Braver Angels SoCal is teaming up with Ted Wetzel’s Fighting to Understand.

We are launching an exciting new event format called Brunch and a Fight. What is Brunch and a Fight? Is it a fight? No! It’s an in-person, interactive event that gets Reds, Blues, Purples and other Colors engaged in productive civil disagreement.

You will meet new people, get to know them, and enjoy brunch together.

Then you will discuss a divisive political issue in a powerful new way that will teach you how to talk through differences.

We will discuss one of the following current divisive topics:

  • Gender identity issues
  • Immigration at the southern border
  • K-12 education

Again, this event will be on Sunday, March 12 from 11:30 AM -2:30 PM at the Richmond Bar and Grill in El Segundo (145 Richmond St, El Segundo, CA 90245) and the cost is $36 per ticket.

Please select which group of statements you lean more toward to purchase your ticket.
(Leaning more towards one group of statements is not an indication that you 100% disagree with parts of the other statement group. Nor does it mean that you 100% agree with parts of the statement group you do choose. An individual’s political views are much more nuanced, aren’t they? Just choose the group you lean more toward.)

Statement Group A:

A person’s biological sex has more relevance than their gender identity in most situations.
It is more important for our government to enforce existing laws and policies to address the immigration crisis at the border.
Incorporating parental input is more likely to create successful K-12 education outcomes.

Statement Group B:

A person’s gender identity has more relevance than their biological identity in most situations.
It is more important for our government to create new laws and policies to address the immigration crisis at the border.
Incorporating parental input is more likely to be disruptive to creating successful K-12 education outcomes.

PLEASE NOTE: your ticket, once purchased, is nonrefundable, unless we don’t get to the minimum event size for the event in which case the event will be cancelled and all tickets refunded.
