American Expansionism: Strategic Advancement or Imperialism

President Trump has openly advocated for US expansion, including an interest in Greenland, reasserting US ownership of the Panama Canal, and exerting economic pressure on Canada to become the next US state. Does this demonstrate a refreshing, clear-eyed vision of what is in America’s best interest, or is this destabilizing rhetoric that will harm US foreign policy?
