From the inception of our nation the Role of Government has been continually discussed, debated, legislated, and re-engineered and reformed again and again. Each generation of Americans seeks to answer the question, “What’s the proper role of government?” and seeks to shape it to most effectively serve its needs. Some believe government is trying to do too much. Others believe government should do more. What’s the proper balance between the federal government, state governments and local governments?
