Alliance/Members Meeting – Topic: “Does Free Speech Still Exist?”

In America, can you say anything you want without repercussion? What responsibilities accompany the First Amendment if any? Do social media platforms have either the right or the responsibility to censor content it deems hateful or deceptive? These are some of the many questions that will be discussed.
The magic of Braver Angels events is the comradery, the pleasant surprise of finding common ground, and the lights bulbs that illuminate upon learning something new. This is why Central Maryland Braver Angels is hosting a monthly discussion group to allow just these kinds of experiences to take place.
All are welcome to attend, reconnect with one another, and discuss in a structured format the news and issues that are important to you.
