At our November meeting we will talk about Political Polarization here in Clackamas County. We will welcome two county commissioners who challenged each other over last year’s proposed DEI Department closure. They will talk with us about how they maintain their political values, honor the people who elected them and still conduct the business of the county for the greater good. Where do they disagree? How do they see the other person’s perspective and value their contribution? How do they continue to work together as colleagues (not as enemies)? When have their differences and disagreements actually made a particular decision better?
Come and see depolarization in action and ask our commissioners the hard questions that we are asking ourselves. Let’s talk about it! It’s free.
