Does My Vote Count? A Community Conversation on Election Security

Election security means different things to different people — and that’s exactly why we need to talk about it together. Join us for this Braver Angels style Community Dialogue for an evening involving “Reds,” “Blues,” and everyone in between in the same room for an honest, respectful conversation about how our elections work.
The program opens with a presentation by Scott Farrington, the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections, offering a firsthand look at how local elections are run and safeguarded. From there, we will break into small, discussion groups — mixing perspectives across the political spectrum — to discuss different aspects of election issues, from voting technology to ballot access to public trust.
In true Braver Angels fashion, this isn’t a debate to be won. It’s a conversation to be had — with curiosity, humility, and respect for those who hold differing perspectives.
