Alliance Discussion Gathering: Should political parties plan events around the religious holidays of minorities? What do you think?

State Representative Esther Panitch (the first vice chair of the Jewish Democratic Council of Georgia) requested the Young Democrats of Gwinnett to move their fundraiser from Rosh Hashanah to some other day so the Jews could attend. They responded by publicly accusing her of hate speech and telling her to mind her own business. Then, of course, they all have been taking to social media to argue over various ad hominem arguments. But should political parties be so concerned with the religious holidays of minorities to schedule fundraisers around them in the first place?
