Town Hall: BRAVER ANGELS MEETS LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR BILLY NUNGESSER

In a Braver Angels Deliberative Town Hall, the candidates participate as part of their campaign and the discussion is focused on key issues.

Elected three times to the office of Lieutenant Governor, Billy Nungesser and his team have led Louisiana tourism to record-breaking success, driven by a deep commitment to celebrating and promoting the state’s one-of-a-kind culture, food, music, and natural beauty. A lifelong businessman and problem-solver, he brings a private-sector approach to government, helping him to earn recognition as one of Louisiana’s most passionate and dedicated public servants. Like many of us, Lt. Gov. Nungesser is concerned about the divisions in our politics. He plans to address us on the new closed primary system that goes into effect next year for some offices.

Event Format:

This event is an in-person meeting.

The event is preceded by a survey that uses POLIS software to identify areas of greatest agreement among the participants.

Participants will divide up in groups to discuss these issues, coming up with action items that everyone in the group agrees with. These will then be shared and discussed with the candidates.

Who can come? Anyone interested in finding common ground with fellow citizens.
