Freedom: An American Value
October 27 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm PDT
America is a nation founded on shared values. But do all Americans mean the same thing when talking about these values? The Los Angeles Alliance of Braver Angels will host a 3-part series exploring the American values of Freedom, Justice, and Equality, focused on how different definitions of these values may contribute to American polarization.
The first event in the series will be held on October 27, 2024, at 1p Pacific time. The topic will be the Freedom as a core American value.
Questions to be explored will include:
- Do Americans share a common concept of freedom?
- How do our concepts of freedom influence our policy preferences?
- Can disparate concepts of freedom be reconciled?
Events exploring the values of Justice and Equality will be held in 2025.
We hope you will join us on March 20 for a meaningful discussion of what it means to be an American.
