I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-filled Political Conversations
On the eve of the 2016 election, former sorority sisters Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers launched a podcast as an experiment to answer a question: was it possible for 2 modern-day, “political junkie” American women – both wives and mothers, who shared much in common, except their political persuasions- to talk the politics of the week, with “no shouting, no insults and plenty of nuance”? It turned out it was, and the “Pantsuit Politics” podcast quickly gained a loyal, devoted following of thousands, inspired each week that the partisan divide could be breached. In 2019, they published this book to share their story, and recount the lessons and skills they’ve learned that all Americans can learn and apply, with family, friends, even strangers. Beth and Sarah challenge all of us to “put relationship before policy and understanding before argument.”
