How Do We Find Community in Our Differences?

Join the St. Croix Valley Braver Angels Alliance for our inaugural community meeting for a Meet and Greet with light refreshments and a 90-minute workshop featuring Braver Angels Co-Founder Bill Doherty! This is the perfect opportunity for anyone curious about bridging divides in families, among friends and community members to:
* Understand what lies behind the polarization,
* Learn better skills for listening in a way so the other person feels heard, and
* Discover specific ways you can help bring down the political temperature around you.
Program
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. — Meet and Greet: Join members of the newly formed St. Croix Valley Braver Angels Alliance for some light refreshments. Find out what the alliance is up to. Be prepared to share your “Why I’m Here” story!
6:30 – 8:00 p.m. — How Do We Find Community in Our Differences? Led by Braver Angels Co-founder Bill Doherty, a University of Minnesota professor emeritus of family science, the workshop engages participants in an interactive discussion about how to bridge the divide without giving up your values and views.
8:00 – 9:00 p.m. — Q&A and Networking is an open session for questions and further networking.
