Deliberative Town Hall – This is a follow-up Town Hall on Homelessness with County Supervisor John Gioia, Richmond Vice
10/21/2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm PDT
About this event
Ordinary citizens’ trust in their leaders has eroded in recent years, as has the ability of everyone to talk constructively across political differences. Common Ground Town Halls are designed to:
- Improve communication and trust among citizens across the political spectrum
- Improve communication and trust between citizens and their representatives
- Help develop policies that draw broad agreement across the political spectrum
Event Format:
The meeting is preceded by a survey that uses POLIS software to identify areas of greatest agreement among the participants.
The subsequent meeting event is conducted over Zoom and is divided into two parts:
- First half – breakout groups of citizens discuss the issue at hand, then report out to the rest of the group.
- Second half – citizens report their findings to public officials.
- Those who register will receive more information about the topic before the Town Hall.
Who can come? Anyone interested in finding common ground with fellow citizens.
See you there!
