Book Discussion – “Reaching Common Ground” Book Discussion with the Author

Braver Angels of Arkansas is excited to host a book discussion with Frederick Golder, author of the book “Reaching Common Ground,” at 6:30 pm, Nov. 8, via Zoom.
Golder’s book aligns perfectly with Braver Angels’ mission. “Reaching Common Ground” aims to teach readers how to turn confrontation into dialogue, dialogue into understanding and understanding into the effective resolution of conflicts. In his book, Golder focuses on how to communicate effectively with people of different cultures and backgrounds, and he offers methods for resolving conflicts despite differences in core values, gender, race, religion, culture, national origin, age, sexual orientation, economic status and power imbalances.
The Nov. 8 event will include a presentation by Golder, followed by a Q & A. Questions can be submitted both ahead of time and via chat during the Zoom. The program will conclude with a collection of ideas about how participants can better handle difficult dialogues in their own lives.
