A House United - Braver Angels

A House United

Bring the Film to Your Town

Between now and November 14, communities across the country can host screenings of a House United, a new documentary Braver Angels helped make in partnership with Disagree Better and BYU Broadcasting. Here’s how to get one started where you live.

The film runs 55 minutes. Afterward, we encourage a short discussion about what’s happening in your community and how people can get involved. About 90 minutes, start to finish. Viewers leave having seen what bridge-building looks like, and knowing exactly where to find more of it close to home.

Hosting is a light lift for local Alliances. The film, ticketing, tech support, marketing materials, and a hosting guide are all provided by our production partner, Jojo Films. Alliances pick a date, find a venue, and spread the word.

How You Can Help

This is where we need you, whether you’ve been with Braver Angels for years or you’re reading about us for the first time.

If you’re already part of a local Alliance, reach out to your Alliance leaders and ask whether a screening is on the calendar. If it isn’t, encourage them to host one. If you belong to a library, school, faith community, civic club, or local nonprofit, suggest partnering with your Alliance to host it together. Some of the best screenings will be the ones that bring two groups of people into the same room.

If you’re new to Braver Angels, visit braverangels.org and find the Alliance nearest you. Introduce yourself, and let them know you’d like to see A House United come to your community. You don’t need to be a member to make the suggestion, and you might find yourself helping organize the night.
