After a career in business, The Honorable Dean Phillips served three terms in Congress representing Minnesota’s 3rd District from 2019-2024. A member of House Democratic leadership, he served as Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on the Middle East, Vice-Ranking Member of the Small Business Committee, and a senior member of the House Ethics Committee before challenging President Biden in the 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary. As former Vice-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus in Congress and founder of the Common Ground initiative facilitated by Braver Angels, Dean remains committed to inspiring civic participation, mutual respect, and promoting political competition.
