Registration/Check-In will start at 9am on Thursday, June 25th. There will be programs and activities to experience throughout the day. Dinner will then begin at 5:00, and the Opening Plenary will start at 6:30pm.
The convention will conclude on Sunday, June 28th, at 12pm.
All who apply and are accepted to the convention are called delegates. Some delegates will come from Braver Angels local alliances and other Braver Angels leadership bodies. Others will come as representatives of civic, business, religious, service, educational, and other local and national organizations. Some will even be students from colleges, universities, and trade schools from all across the country.
Delegates will get to participate in all activities and events. Delegates may be asked to vote.
Everyone must apply to attend and not all applications will be accepted. Braver Angels does it this way for three reasons:
1. To ensure an equal balance of conservatives, progressives, and independents. This is why we ask you to indicate your political leaning when you register.
2. To ensure participation from many organizations.
3. To have a convention consisting of leaders first and foremost.
Those whose applications are accepted are called delegates. Some delegates will come from Braver Angels local alliances and other Braver Angels leadership bodies. Others will come as representatives of civic, business, religious, service, educational, and other local and national groups from across the country.
Welcome! Yes, any and all Braver Angels members can submit an application to attend the convention.
That’s great to hear, we love volunteers! If you are willing to commit part of your time at the convention to helping us run the event, we’ll reduce your registration costs by $100. You can apply to be a volunteer in your Convention Hub after your application has been accepted. Volunteers are accepted on a rolling basis and capacity is limited.
The fastest way to get off the waitlist is to apply with another person with a different political leaning (Red/Blue pair), and we will invite you both.
You can check the status of your application on your Convention Hub.
Yes! We have a Partnership program, please check it out. Partnerships are available for individuals and organizations.
See the Costs & Registration page.

Yes, under the following conditions:
Any minor attending our convention must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone at all times.
Any adult attending that is staying in on-campus housing with a minor OR any chaperone (non-parent or guardian) attending the convention with a minor that is not staying in on-campus housing MUST receive and submit the following clearances by June 9th in order to attend:
Clearances may take up to 30 days to be received, and therefore we ask that each clearance must be requested by May 11th. We will no longer accept applications from minors and chaperones after May 8th, and it is your responsibility to obtain these clearances by the deadline. In the event that clearances are not received by June 9th, attendance will not be permitted.
Note: Parents or guardians who are staying off-campus can attend with a minor without needing to obtain these clearances. Chaperones who are not a parent or guardian must still obtain these clearances.
Any adult (parent, guardian, or chaperone) may only supervise a maximum of 10 minors between the ages of 14-17 or 8 minors between the ages of 8-13. If the number of minors exceeds these ratios, additional chaperones are required.
Minors must be a minimum of 13 years of age to apply to be a delegate. Minors of any age can accompany an adult to the convention so long as they are supervised at all times.
This will be announced at a later date. See our 2024 National Convention schedule for an example of what is in store.
That’s great! We love having representatives of other organizations in attendance, it is vital to our mission.
If your organization is not already a part of Braver Network, submit an application to join.
If you are a Braver Angels member, you can submit an application to attend the convention. In your application, please list the organization that you are affiliated with.
Please consider checking out our Partnership program. Your organization could deepen its engagement with our convention by becoming a Partner, which has many great benefits.
No. We ask that all delegates be in attendance for the entire duration of the convention. This is a communal experience, and as leaders and voters in this event, it is important that delegates experience the totality of the event.
