About Braver Lens: Over the past year, a small group of Eastern Shore residents and voters gathered several times to talk about what we value and believe, and where we lean politically, through our photographs. Our theme, Heritage and Legacy, brought us together in a common exploration and curiosity about the other guy. We practiced deep listening as participants shared stories related to their photographs and how they reflected values and political views. We engaged with what felt to be a natural civility and respect for each other, finding many commonalities…areas where we share concerns, as well as places we identify and create laughter, joy, and are inspired. Vulnerability and authenticity witnessed between couples, individuals and the group itself was refreshing for everyone, practicing the expression of our views in a way that gets to the very heart of Braver Angels.
